Today we’re excited to release our technical whitepaper documenting Turnkey’s approach to verifiable computing – an end-to-end verifiable system operating at scale in production.

You can find the full whitepaper text here.

These verifiable foundations power Turnkey’s wallet infrastructure, which secures millions of wallets and processes millions of transactions daily. They’ve been battle-tested in one of the most unforgiving security environments in the world.

Inside the whitepaper

The whitepaper details our production system, including Quorum OS, our open-source operating system built specifically for verifiable computing. This isn’t a theoretical design document — it's a detailed look at the systems powering Turnkey today.

The architectural decisions and security measures documented here reflect over two years of production experience securing critical infrastructure at scale.

In it, you'll find four parts:

  1. Key Management Re-imagined: Our vision for modern key management, built on asymmetric cryptography and curve-level operations
  2. Verifiable Foundations: Deep dive into our use of Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), Quorum OS, and StageX — our Linux distribution for secure, reproducible builds
  3. Turnkey's Architecture: Engineering walkthrough of our production system, API design, and digital signature scheme
  4. Applications Beyond Key Management: An exploration of how verifiable computing could be applied to both centralized and decentralized applications

What's next

Our verifiable computing infrastructure has proven its value in powering embedded wallets and transaction automation, but it has applications far beyond wallet infrastructure. We're now partnering with select teams looking to deploy their own mission-critical, verifiable applications — AI agents, sequencers, bridges, oracles, LLMs, and more — in our secure infrastructure. To learn more, get in contact with us here.

This is just the beginning. Our long-term vision is to decentralize Turnkey’s verifiable stack and create a trustless computing foundation that eliminates single points of failure and enables verifiability at every layer.

Join us in building the future of verifiable computing.
